Abstract:
The principles of type 1 diabetes treatment with intensiveinsulinotherapy method using modern insulins andpersonal insulin pomps were discussed. Personal insulinpomps together with continuously monitoring systemscreate integrated tools for dosing insulin in more andmore accurate way. Unfortunately, we are all-time faraway to closing the loop. The autoimmunological mechanismsof the disease are not explained as before. Therecent studies concerning secondary prevention of type1 diabetes were also discussed in this article.
