Celiakia (ang. celiac disease, CD) to choroba przewlekła o podłożu autoimmunizacyjnym, mogąca uaktywnić się u pacjenta w każdym wieku. Czynnikiem inicjującym jest gluten, a wykluczenie go z diety jest najistotniejsze dla procesu terapeutycznego. W artykule przedstawiono patogenezę CD oraz nowe (ocena peptydów glutenu w moczu i kale) i od dawna dostępne (badania serologiczne przeciwciał) metody monitorujące przestrzeganie diety bezglutenowej (ang. gluten free diet, GFD), które mogą być pomocne w ocenie leczenia dietetycznego.
Abstract:
Celiac disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune disease that can occur in a patient of any age. CD is activated by gluten, and its exclusion from the diet is crucial for the therapeutic process. The article presents CD pathogenesis as well as compilation of new (evaluation of gluten peptides in urine and stool) and long-available (serological tests of antibodies) methods for monitoring gluten free diet, which may be helpful in the assessment of dietary treatment.
