Zalecenia dotyczące rozpoznawania i leczenia astmy dziecięcej często stanowią fragment konsensusów opracowanych głównie dla dorosłych. Mimo iż definicja astmy jest w obu grupach taka sama, to jednak wszyscy zgodnie przyznają, że postępowanie terapeutyczne u dzieci niesie z sobą szereg odrębności. Opublikowane w 2008 roku zalecenia PRACTALL są odrębnym, międzynarodowym opracowaniem dotyczącym wyłącznie astmy dziecięcej. Stanowią wspólną inicjatywę Europejskiej Akademii Alergologii i Immunologii Klinicznej i Amerykańskiej Akademii Astmy, Alergologii i Immunologii. Opracowane przez grupę blisko 40 ekspertów z całego świata, są skierowane przede wszystkim do lekarzy praktyków zajmujących się właśnie leczeniem astmy u dzieci.
Abstract:
Asthma guidelines in childhood are usually only a part of bigger documents covering this problem both in adult and children. Despite the fact that the definition of asthma is the same for adults and children, all researchers agree that diagnosis and therapy in childhood address many separate issues. The PRACALL guidelines published in 2008 is the international document focused exclusively on pediatric asthma. PRACTALL is the part of common EAACI and AAAAI initiative. They were developed by pediatric asthma group consisting of approximately 40 international experts and they recommend practical strategies for clinicians involved in asthma treatment in children.
